REFUND POLICY

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy applies to all registrations made for Tejasvi, the Inter-College Fest and Tech Fest organized by Marian Engineering College, Menamkulam, Trivandrum.

By registering for any event through the official website, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. General Policy

Registration fees once paid are generally non-refundable. Participants are advised to review event details carefully before completing payment.

3. Event Cancellation by Organizers

In the event that an event is cancelled by the organizing committee, participants will be eligible for a refund of the registration fee paid by the user which excludes any platform fee, convenience fee, payment gateway charge, or processing fee collected at the time of registration.

  • Refunds will be processed through the original payment method.
  • Processing time may take 7–14 working days depending on the payment gateway.
  • Participants will be notified via official communication channels.

4. Participant Withdrawal or Absence

No refund will be issued if a participant:

  • Voluntarily withdraws after registration.
  • Fails to attend the event.
  • Is disqualified due to violation of event rules or misconduct.

Registration fees are non-transferable unless explicitly approved by the organizing committee.

5. Duplicate or Failed Transactions

If a participant experiences a duplicate charge or payment deduction without successful registration confirmation:

  • The participant must report the issue with valid transaction proof.
  • Upon verification, the excess amount will be refunded or the registration confirmed.

6. Force Majeure

In circumstances beyond the control of the organizers — including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, public health emergencies, or unforeseen institutional directives — the organizing committee reserves the right to:

  • Reschedule the event.
  • Convert the event to an online or hybrid format.
  • Provide partial refunds where deemed feasible.

7. Refund Processing

All approved refunds will be processed through the original mode of payment only. The organizing committee shall not be responsible for delays caused by banking institutions or third-party payment gateways.
